REGISTRATION FEE
The Congress Fee for each Official Delegate and Participant is USD 300, to be paid on registering in cash (USD, EUR).
The fee covers: transfer from the airports, admission to Committee Meetings (PEN members only), the sightseeing tours of Ohrid, all literary sessions and seminars, the Welcome Party on 18th September, the Reception on 19th September, the Poetry Readings on 20th and 22nd September, the evening of Macedonian music and dance on 21st September and the Farewell dinner on 23rd October.
Please return your Registration Forms by 1st July at the latest.CANCELLATIONS
Cancellation of Registration must be in writing (letter, fax, e-mail) not later than 1st August.
OFFICIAL LANGUAGES
The official languages of the Congress are Macedonian, English, French, and Spanish. Simultaneous interpretation will be provided for meetings of the Assembly of Delegates.

Accredited journalists are welcome at the Press Office (location: Hotel Metropol)
OTHER INFORMATION
The currency in the Republic of Macedonia is the denar. Exchange facilities will be available at the reception desks in the hotels, but foreign currencies (the most acceptable being EUR, USD and CHF) can also be exchanged in banks and exchange offices in the city. Exchange rates (+/–) are: 1 EUR = 61.5 den; 1 USD = 69.0 den; 1 CHF = 40.50.
The climate is warm. The temperature at the end of September can reach 25C degrees during the day. Nights are cooler, but still very pleasant. It is usually dry and very calm. The time is Central European Summer Time. The electric current is 220 – 240 volts AC. The usual language is Macedonian, although Albanian and Turkish can also be heard. Younger people can converse in fairly good English.
Delegates and other participants are offered a post-Congress tour in Macedonia. If they wish to tour the neighbouring countries they should make their own bookings. Information about transfer to the country of their choice will be available during the Congress in the foyer of Hotel Metropol, the main Congress venue.
